2024 SEASON KICK-OFF

The South Central High School Hockey League kicks off the 2024 season again this year by hosting a series of scrimmages on Saturday, November 9.

1:15 PM - Blue - Mattawan vs. Kalamazoo United

2:00 PM - Blue - Kalamazoo United vs. Eastside Stars

2:30 PM - Blue - Mattawan vs. Eastside Stars

1:00 PM - Red - West Ottawa vs. Portage Muskies

1:30 PM - Red - Kalamazoo Eagles vs. Portage Muskies

2:15 PM - Red - West Ottawa vs. Kalamazoo Eagles

3:15 PM - Blue - Eastside Stars vs. Portage Muskies

3:45 PM - Blue - Kalamazoo United vs. West Ottawa

SCRIMMAGE RULES

1. Round robin scrimmages

2. Team listed first is the home team and will wear light colored jerseys

3. Have your team ready to go on the ice! Teams should enter the ice quickly. The

team that is off the ice may enter first with the finished team exiting last.

4. Warm ups are no more than 2 minutes

5. Games will be 26 minutes and running time

6. Two (2)-referee system using MHSAA rules

7. Minor penalty – will result in a penalty shot for the other team

8. Major penalty – will result in a penalty shot for the other team and the removal

of that player from the game.
