South Central High School Hockey League
Playoff Structure

SCHSHL Division Standings

Each team will play 2 games against each team
in their division and one cross-over game
against each team in the other division.
Each game will count 2 points for a win and
1 point for a tie. Overtime losses are NOT
awarded a point.
In instances where teams play more that two
games against teams in their division or more
than one game against teams in the other
division, the game that counts for the division
standings will be the one agreed to by the
coaches before the season started.
Non-league games will not count toward
division standings, stats or tie-breakers.

Tie Breakers
In the event that teams are tied in the standings at the end of the season, the tie will be broken in the following way:
1. Head to Head
2. Number of Total Wins
3. Least Number of Goals Allowed (between tied teams)
4. Least Number of Penalties (not least number of minutes) for the season
5. Periods Won / Lost for all Games against tied teams
6. Tied Teams Declared Co-League Champions

SCHSHL Playoffs
The final standings in each division will determine where each team plays on the league championship day. The division winners of the South and Central Divisions will play each other for the league championship. Four consolation games will also be played that will pit the remaining teams against each other based on the final division standings. The South Division runner up will face the Central Division runner up, #3 vs #3, etc.
